Petroglyph Turtle

Normally I make hand-size to double hand-size one off tattoos.  I also make a lot of tiny bangers because people ask for them, and if I have the time, yes I want to do it.  This was my favorite tattoo of the day because its just so clean.

Polynesian Mortar Pestle

Putting Polynesian sigil work inside an object not traditionally Hawaiian is actually something I do a lot of.  Since the sigil work is language that is arranged to tell a story for the client, so should the composition be a portion of their life.

Bird of Paradise

I really enjoy the Bird of Paradise flower, as it has so many angles.  I made this one traditionally.

Fishing Lure

I met a guy who wants to be a tattooer, I told him to lose all hope and start drawing and painting.  Then I gave him an impossible task to complete.  Really, it's pretty impossible unless he just does it every day all day.  I tell everyone the same thing; go draw this stuff this many times and bring it to me when you are done then we will talk about the possibility of maybe you becoming my apprentice.  I do not do that to be cruel, I do it to wean out the fucking lazy.  Working under me is hard, I'm not very social, and I have a hard time seeing ways that things can be done other than my own.  Mostly, it's just hard to be my apprentice because I want so much out of them before I even introduce a tattoo machine into the study.  

We shall see what happens, the last 5 that asked me for an apprenticeship have never come back.  Regardless I love this tattoo.  An American Traditional fishing lure.

I made this Polynesian fishhooks composition similar to my paintings.  Nice experiment that I am sure I will do more of.

Polynesian Gecko

This was a fun walk-in today.  I tattooed all day, then at the end of the day this client came in and asked for me, said they loved my gecko tattoos and wanted one.  So we stayed late and made this.

It has been a while since I have done a head tattoo.  The client wanted Polynesian tribal around his existing tattoo of his wife’s lips.  This was really an awesome day.

Family

This is my family, and we fucking rule.  The last few years have been amazing.  We are about to go into a long period of working our asses off to reach a special goal.  It is going to be awesome, and exhausting, and it is going to be worth every second of it.

The client has a very large project in mind.  Today we got started with the bolder portion of his work, and on his next session we will fill in the entire deltoid to his chest tattoo.  He eventually wants to go all the way down the arm.
