Green Sea Turtle

This client was really special.  He had spent a lot of time looking me and my entire career up.  He read what he could find and he wanted me to work on his tattoo.  This was great, I made a long time friend.  He was fun to work with, happy, loved my work, and he just didn't have a care in the world.  It is always awesome to meet good people.

Mahalo,
it was great to work with you.

Polynesian Tribal and a Turtle

Fun walk-in today.  I obviously have the time today.  A turtle surrounded by Polynesian tribal work.  My client wanted the entire thing to look like a tiki face.  He intends to keep going and add to his entire arm.

Puppy Paddle

Stand up paddle is one of my favorite things to do, I just love being on the water.
Devo was not amused.

Love my beach days with the family.

Polynesian Tribal Turtles

A fun mother and child Polynesian tribal turtle.  This was a pretty slow day.  Things have been a bit mellow at the shop lately.

Polynesian Manta Ray

I do not make many Manta Ray tattoos.  When I get the opportunity to tattoo one, its always fun and challenging because I am not as familiar with the basic forms of a
Manta Ray.  This one turned out nice, and it looks to be a good study of the form.

Plumeria & a Fishhook

Today I tattooed for 16 hours straight.  It was awesome.  The studio was really busy and I was flowing.  I couldn't decide what my favorite of the day was so I chose two.  A Polynesian tribal fishhook and a simple plumeria.  I work on those types of tattoos every week, and they are some of my favorite.

Polynesian Tribal with a Blue Line

This client is an officer, hence the blue line.  I make a lot of Blue line tattoos, and each one has a little new look to them.  I like to collect military pins and coins and department coins.  I always get lucky and the officer sends me a coin in the mail as a thanks for the tattoo.  This was a fun tattoo to make, and I am looking forward to the coin!

Polynesian Sharks

He wanted a couple of tiger sharks done in Polynesian tribal to represent his family.  It was a great piece to work on.  My way of drawing tribal tattoos is a blend of what history has to offer, the common forms of the past, and my view on composition.  I love working on Polynesian, it is always rewarding.  I will see this client again in the next few months and add to this work.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus flowers are beautiful.  I have been working on a look for my Hibiscus tattoos.
I enjoy them quite a bit.
