Shark Fishhook

The client had a very specific request for this tattoo.  He wanted it to look exactly like the shape of his fishhook necklace.  He also wants to use the design for his island jerky business.  He makes fish, pork, and beef jerky here on island and it’s absolutely freaking delicious.  We traded for the rights to the design, now I am swimming in jerky!  He keeps dropping off more too.  I don’t think I can eat this much jerky and keep my cholesterol down.

Beach in a Bottle

It’s always awesome to work on something traditional.  This beach in a bottle is a pretty common theme in American Traditional tattooing.  I dig my version.

Hibiscus

I have never been this busy in my life.  I tattoo all day long every day, and it is glorious.  This tattoo was really fast and really fun.  I am still into the black lines in the petals, and I am going to continue this look for a while.  I dig it.

Polynesian Orca and Gecko

This was a lot of fun.  I think of the orca whale is the most dangerous animal in the ocean.  My clients spent a lot of time thinking about what they wanted as a memorable tattoo for their trip here to Hawaii.

Sunflower State Outline

I made this sunflower with the Nevada state outline.  I have never been to Nevada, someday I might just go to Vegas just because.

Rose Triangle

A rose with a triangle behind it.  Apparently the triangle is currently a trend in tattooing.

American Traditional Plumeria

I made this American Traditional Plumeria tattoo today.  The shop was crazy busy, and I couldn’t be happier.  This was my favorite tattoo of the day.

Lily

The client liked my past lily tattoos, and she wanted to add to her existing work with some Pinterest-like additions.  I would have rather not added the dog paws, but she is a dog lover and so am I, so we went for it.

Green Sea Turtle

I have had this drawing sitting on my “I want to tattoo” wall for almost a year.  The client came in a picked it out of my drawings.  I was really happy to finally make this tattoo.  We added two petroglyph turtles to the drawing to represent her kids.

Bird of Paradise

This was my favorite of the day.  I like making flower tattoos, and I like my way of doing them.

Two Tribal Turtles

These two wanted the same turtle for the memories.  Good clients and good times.  I might just get my wish and be able to make a tribal turtle a day!

Polynesian Tribal Turtle

I like this tattoo, it’s the best of the day.  Tribal turtles are pretty cool to work on, I want to make more of them.  It would be nice if I was able to make one tribal turtle a day.

Polynesian Tribal Shark

I made this tribal shark and the manta ray to represent his brothers.  Both of them wanted a part of each other’s tattoo in their own.  I made each of them with a silhouette of the other.  It was a good day today.  I have been so busy I have not had a moment to just sit back and reflect on what I am really up to.  The last few months have been fantastic, and I see that my planning for tomorrow has paid off.

This was a shark that I drew up sometime ago.  I made some changes for what the client was looking to express.
