Palm Tree Cover-up Tattoo

I will start by saying I did not used to like working on a coverup tattoo.  It is always a challenge, a mess to fix, and the client always has an idea that they are incapable of letting go of, regardless of it being a good or bad idea for a cover-up.  I like the challenge these days, and I find myself working on a lot of old tattoos.  This was fun, it took a couple hours but it was worth it.

Koi Tattoo

I started the full sleeve of a Koi and Hawaii floral theme today.  I have more work to do on this, then to add the rest of the work.

Fallout Tattoo

I play a lot of video games.  Not as many as I used to, and not as many as I want to these days, so I have to live my game fantasy through tattoo.  I made a Fallout 4 tattoo for a regular client today.  it was super fun.

Star Wars tattoo

I love Star Wars, and I always have.  I bet I have seen all the movies 500 times. I had a client ask for a Boba Fett tattoo with a heavy traditional look to it.

The line work is done, he will be back in two weeks to complete the work.

Rose Tattoo

...this was pretty fast, she had to catch a plane.

Plumeria Tattoo

This client is a regular.  She comes back to me every 6 months or sooner.  This was a pretty fun plumeria to make for her.

I really like this tattoo, and I think it is my favorite plumeria I have done in a long time.

Flower Flash Paintings

I paintied a couple of traditional flash sheets.  I have already tattooed some of these, and I would really like to tattoo the rest.  I should be able to get a few clients to get these as tattoos.

Two Rose Tattoos

I made a couple of American Traditional rose tattoos today.  Both clients were regulars and it is always nice when they come in for a tattoo.  Today was a fairly slow day, which was perfect for me.  I have started the compositional studies for a new series of paintings here on Maui.  I have a general idea of the way I want to start these paintings, albeit I will let the paint decide the finish.

Family hike and a sunset.

Hiking the West Maui Coast

Athena and I go for a lot of hikes with the dogs.  

Athena and I like to take the dogs through a hike on the northern portion of west Maui.  We leave about an hour before sunset, and make the return just as the sun is setting.  It is beautiful there, but its our secret so I'll just show you a few pictures.  At the end of the hike there are some huge rocks where we sit and watch the sun go down.
