Old English Letters

I don’t get a lot of lettering here on Maui.  That was something tatted on the mainland often, it’s just not a common tattoo request here on Maui.  I like old English lettering, and I wish it was requested more often.

Polynesian Shark

A classic look to this tribal shark.  I dig American Traditional tattooing, and I made this tattoo with a bit of that in mind.  I want to blend American Traditional into Polynesian tribal work so the two look as if they came right out of the 60’s.

Polynesian Fishhook

The studio is more active then I have ever seen it.  We have built a good reputation, and it is paying off.  I tattoo every day from 10am to 6pm or later.  This Polynesian tribal fishhook is my favorite of the day.

Polynesian Tribal Bass Fish

A Polynesian tribal bass fish straight from my flash.  This was my first time doing a bass in tribal tattoo.  This was a pretty fun day.

Fishing Lure

This is probably my favorite tattoo of the month.  I love working on fishing lures.

Cherry Blossoms

A regular client of mine wanted a cherry blossom branch with rainbow colors and dog paws.  That is really a ton of stuff in one tattoo.  It looks good.

Add-on Polynesian Tribal

I added some Polynesian tribal to the work I did last year.  The client wanted to continue the work into next year.  It will be nice to complete this when he comes back.  I can see us adding on to this tattoo for a long time.

Garuda

Garuda the Devourer.  He is the lord of birds, and after 500 years of incubation he hatched.  As a Buddhist and Hindu god, Garuda is here to terrify mankind with his hurricanes created by the power of his beating wings.  This was a really fun tattoo.

Polynesian Turtle with Hibiscus

I added a tribal turtle with a hibiscus as the shell and a baby turtle following it for the client.  She loved it, and intends to come back and work on filling the spaces between her tattoos.
