Polynesian Fishhook

I made this Polynesian fishhooks composition similar to my paintings.  Nice experiment that I am sure I will do more of.

Shark Fishhook

The client had a very specific request for this tattoo.  He wanted it to look exactly like the shape of his fishhook necklace.  He also wants to use the design for his island jerky business.  He makes fish, pork, and beef jerky here on island and it’s absolutely freaking delicious.  We traded for the rights to the design, now I am swimming in jerky!  He keeps dropping off more too.  I don’t think I can eat this much jerky and keep my cholesterol down.

Polynesian Fishhook

The studio is more active then I have ever seen it.  We have built a good reputation, and it is paying off.  I tattoo every day from 10am to 6pm or later.  This Polynesian tribal fishhook is my favorite of the day.

Polynesian Hook

Today was a good day.  I drew this Polynesian fishhook on with a sharpie.  I like working from a stencil, when I have a walk in it's just fast and easy to draw right on the client.

Fishhook

A nice walk-in Polynesian fishhook tattoo.  It has been really slow lately, maybe that is because of the insanely fucking negative energy that’s been vomiting all over the studio over the last few months.  I’m gonna move on soon if this shit doesn’t change.  I am a happy guy, and I love this place deeply.  I cannot in any way handle the consistent negative energy of unhappy people.  I have tried my very best to improve my friend's life, to help him get through whatever it is that he’s going through.  It’s not working, and I am about to call it and simply make it all about me.

Enough about that rant, here is my favorite tattoo of the day.

Polynesian Fishhook

This Polynesian Fishhook tattoo was not my best of the day but it was my favorite.  It was really, really busy today.  It looks like I have built a reputation here on Maui finally.  My clients come back every few months, some come back every year to see me.  I have regulars who come in every few months and get a little tattoo or build onto what we did the time before.  I am pretty happy about that.  I feel like all I need to do now is just work my 6 days a week.

Maybe it is time to start the formal work on my “Peloponnesus War” painting.
